Kim - Hooray Truffles
Tell us about yourself: My name is Kim Kingston and I am the owner of Hooray Truffles.
This business came into being in 2013 after my daughter Alanna Kingston created the first batch of vegan, organic, gluten free dark chocolate truffles for her Grandmother.
As an amazing vegan chef, Alanna has been known to create many wonderful recipes but it was the chocolate truffles that were the inspiration for what was to become the business of Hooray Truffles.
Tell us about your business: Hooray Truffles’ philosophy is that food can heal your body.
Our life style includes foods that are healthy, clean, organic, green, preservative free, enzyme rich, whole, and nutrient dense.
The chocolate that we use in our truffles is a spectacular reflection of what we believe in in that it is created by chocolate producers that work closely with the cacao bean farmers to ensure that fair-trade and sustainability practices are met and upheld.
Organic, fairtrade, soy lecithin and allergen free is our mandate and we work passionately to uphold these standards in every truffle that we produce.
We are proud to use chocolate that is produced with such a high degree of morality and care and to live those values in our chocolate studio.
In our connections with people on a daily basis it is our pleasure to not only bear witness to the intense pleasure that is had when our truffles are consumed but to also be able to say that our chocolate truffles are not only certified organic and soy lecithin free, but are also fairly traded with the welfare of the cocoa farmers as a priority.
Hooray Truffles. A mindful, conscious, sustainable pleasure... :)
What's your favourite thing about the Sunshine Coast: The Sunshine Coast is one of the most beautiful places that I have lived and it is also one of the friendliest anywhere.
I have lived and worked here since 1989, raised my children here and am proud to call the Sunshine Coast home.
